No, i dont consider anyone including myself a taxidermist until they have done several different kind of animals and made them look like they are alive again. which includes birds, fish, large and small lifesize/shoulder mounts. if you just do one plushy/lifesize/shoulder mount that doesn't make you a taxidermist in my eyes. 3. So do you hate and torture animals? What?! Never my family has always grown me up in a animal loving home, ive always loved animals, and always will. They know how you are really feeling and when your having a crappy day they can just put a smile on your face of the purest look they give you. I would never harm anytihng I love unless its in pain and for its own benefit to be put out of its misery. 4. whats your favorite animal? First off it’s the Guinea pig, those little rodents are what makes me the happiest each time I hold one or see a picture. The next is the red fox/mutations of the red fox. 5. what animals do you have in your home ‘alive’ 1 pekenese. 2 cats 1 chinchilla 1 guinea pigs 6.What got you into Taxidermy? I have always been interested in it since I was younge first it was with rabbit pelts when I was 3/0r/4 from my crazy aunt. Then ren fairs of getting furs, tails and seeing taxidermy and pelts there. 7. What did you want to be before your current wanting to be a taxidermist/ Mortician? When I was young I wanted to be a barber, then it changed to a zoo keeper, wanted to be that for a while. Then it changed to a forensive for the longest while then to taxidermy/zoology. Then taxidermy/vet assistant. Then to the taxidermy/Mortician. 8. whats wrong with you?! Nothing is wrong with me? Each human has a set of inner morals some are more lax then others, its how we are different from eachother when we don’t really know ones boundries since each of us is different. Some cant stand death, other find it’s a part of living of life=death/ying=yang. It has to happen sooner or later. Besides the fact Im not good in grammar, and I know im not just because you point out im not good at grammer doesn’t make you any special to me. I have 2 forms of dislexia( I see backwards and upside down) As well as I have disgraphia( the words/numbers dance around the page when im not focused or im tired) So once you see what I see you would undstand better as to why I have trouble. 9.Why do you collect ‘dead things’? Its really juts considered leather, its not a carcass since the pelt doesn’t have its muscles, bones or innards inside it. Its like a leather couch, boots or jacket. Tanned with chemicals where its just leather with fur. For one it saves me time instead of buying the animal all at once, as well as I enjoy the colloration of the animal, and the animals that I would never get to see alive besides in a zoo or something. Like I would never get to personally feel them. Why do you have so many? isn't one enough? not really foxes, coyotes and wolves all have different color and fur texture. when coloring a pattern on a fox i couldnt use a wolf pelt to help me since their hair is a different texture and heavyness towards a fox. Are you showing off? if you want to say so. yes Im tired of people thinking showing off your pelts, dead stuff as bad. why is it?...just because i worked hard for my animals makes me wrong? the animal has given its life i atleast want to show its beauty to the world just like id like the world to show me theirs. in all in all we are all showing off through either drawing capability or craft we are all pushing our stuff to show off. just because some has more then others shouldnt be a put down either...we all have to start some where i started at the bottom too from tails an bunny hides to this now. 10. Why do you name your pelts? I find if something was once alive, it deserves a name. Nothing enjoys getting called nothing, and I just find it gives the pelt a happier feeling if being called ‘Cain’ instead of”that Burgundy Platinum fox”. I also gives the pelt and me a closer spiritual setting. 11. you know pelts were once alive right? Yes, I am quite aware of that. That’s when I posted pictures of the live animal, or before the animal was skinned to show other people. Pelts once breathed, shedded hair, mated, lived their lives in the wild or on a farm. When your willing to accept that it was once alive I believe you have that connection as well to the pelt, that the animal spirit knows that it just isn’t some ‘thing’ in your possession. 12.why do you kill them? Or have them killed? wild. I know animals need to be culled to have a healthy ecosystem running. No one likes to see a starving, diseased covered animal or one that eats its own kind so it doesn’t die of hunger, might even eat somones litter. That’s mother nature for you, we don’t like it but it happens. So its nice to let the planet run its self but also give the animals ahand so most don’t suffer. Trapping. Some people live off the land, trapping and hunting so they can provide food on the table, by either wild game, or for pelts. They skin the animal then usually sell the raw skulls then despose of the body for fertilizer or use dermiside beetles to clean the skelton completely incase someoen wanted to mount up the skeleton for a class or such. Ranched. If you let all the ranched animals run free, nearly all of them would most likely die since they don’t know how to fend for themselves in the wild. As well as the breeders who raise them, feed them better then themselves, get them vacinated, and make sure the animal is as healthy as it could be. The healthier and happier the animal the better its coat would be. Most of the money for the pelt goes back into feeding the live animals. Breeders I currently know 5 breeders for foxes who treat their foxes with care. One sells them as pets but also if one of them dies he finds it best if he skins out the animal to sell that way to be resourseful. instead of burying something, why not preserve it? I find that’s the greatest insult to mother nature that we always want to bury the dead, that it’s a ‘taboo’ to touch the dead. They are gone. They don’t care what you do to their body. Yea they might be tad upset if you like walk on their fur as a rug or something. But in the end they don’t care. They are not humans they don’t really have the feeling or right or wrong, theys a contiounse which animals don’t hae it’s the ‘fight or flee’ instinct they have inside them. Will you tell my your Breeders contact info? No, I'm sorry but I spent time searching people up, looking or know really good people who farm. there are plenty of breeders for you I'm using my resources for my own business. now if I sell one then you can get it. 13.Why just for their fur? The animals I use I make sure the trapper, seller or breeder tells me how they are dispatched. Either by a shot to the head, or euthantized with a shot to let the animal sleep for ever. (what a vet gives a animal to put it down) None of my pelts have been killed by ‘skinning alive’.’shocked’,’poisoned,’ drowned’ As well I make sure the trapper/breeder uses the rest of the animal( usign the meat. Bones) or donating it for fertilizer/animal food so in the end the animal didn’t die ‘just’ for its fur. My other alternative is roadkill. I have collected 3 raccoons, 1 grey fox and a coyote. From hit and runs. 14.Why do you have something ‘cute’ or possibly ‘endangered’ in your room? In most areas the grey wolf is not a endangered species, they have CITES now to cull them down for the saftey of livestock and people. Since they are gettign bolder and bolder around humans. And why do people just care about the cute critters why not Lichen( a endangered moss) the tuna? Rats?( rats are adorable) by the way. I’ve noticed since ive delt with people for a while they only care for mainly the foxes and wolves is what really get their panties in a twist. Thinking the fox is endangered or that the wolf is the “smartest, noble, bravest, endangered” ect. Which there are far more animals that are endangered and more animals that fit in the category as well. 15.So I take it you eat meat? Yes I do, humans are omnivorces we have canines and teeth for tearing meat off. As well you are most like omnivourse too that don’t agree with fur. Did you know farming food animals(i.e cow, chicken, pigs, goats) for human food isn't treated much better? Since meat is under the fur, so they could care less, and all the butcher needs is certain parts of the animal then the rest is given to fertilizer/ dog food or possibly even just tossed out. As well working at the grocery store, ive seen first hand what they do to rotted meat/meat that’s past its expired date. They throw it away. So any of the meat you don’t conume was a wasted life that gave its life just to get put on a land field. 16. how many pelts do you have currently/waiting to get back from the tanner Foxes:41 Coyotes: 8 Wolves: 4 Other:1 alaskan lynx 1 ringtail (Waiting to get back?) Foxes:11(1 blue iris, 1sapphire, 1 kodiak bastard, 1 platinum cross, 1 sapphire, 1 cinnamon mount) Coyotes: 3 (1 red,1 Western, 1 dark eastern coloration) 1 guinea pig(my pet that was sick and i found dead) 1 roadkill cat(stray. already checked for chip and waited for ad for lost cat) 1 rabbit ( my pet that died of old age) 1 rattle snake. 17. do you feel your pelts have to have feet? Its certainly a plus if they do have feet, I prefer them with feet but if something is rare and valuble and I could see it was treated better then a pelt that did have feet I would feel better to take the pelt that was treated better. But any pelt I have a connection is good either way. 18. How much do you think you have spent all on your collection? Oooh just doing a rough Guestimate about maybe 10,000? 19. why don’t you put that money to better use? I have, ive donated to the local autism center, as well as 50. Bucks to the haiti relief thing when it first happened. and lets not forget the pound, salvation army, the Navy. My college for taxidermy and mortician is already paid for, and for my clothing im happy with my own right now. Every human has a thing they like to collect weather it be clothers, jewelery, action figures, to pelts everyone enjoys something they collect. 20. What else do you collect besides Pelts? Well I have 2 skulls so far about to have 3. Action figures, Dragon statues, Beanie babies,(mainly dragons, horses, canids, a red panda and most of the chinese Zodiac) Breyer horses. Yaoi manga/doujinshi Manga Anime Posters Video games Various animal parts(bones, teeth,claws) Alchoholic bottles that have neat designs on them. Small trinkets that I find pretty. Small things like those small horses, dragons or the small kinda toys. Novels that are usually either werewolves, vampires ( that isnt crappy twilight) Or horror books. 21. Whats with the name “emosloveweed?” It wasn’t my idea, my ex friend had made this account but our friendship ended so I thought I would use this account for use. 22.Why do you have two separate accounts? Well you see how much hate im getting on one page right? As well its best to separate art from dead art, some people on my art account might find it uncomfortable, while if I post art on my dead art page it isn’t upsetting anyone. 23. why do you keep making list of your pelts? It’s easier for me to keep up with. I have them written in microsoft word, composition jounrals as well. But I check my dA the most often of what I need todo, what I have. Ect. 24. what do you think made you so ‘morbid’? Well besides beign a only child, I didn’t have children growing up that much besides a few here and there. My mothers mother died on the 1 month birth day/ was fathers day so growing up for about 4/5 years I grew up with her depression, as well I wrote with my dad out in the field a lot which we listened to stephen king books on tape, alice cooper and other adult novels while I was young so I matured quickly for my age. When I was at home with momma, we watched ER, surgery shows, animal planet while she either sewed me outfits or slept. At which being born 5-16-91 it makes me a taurus/metal goat for my personality. Im very loyal to very close friends im as stubborn as it gets and I put up a cold front. Only close friends I can trust knows what im really thinking/ I let them in on how im thinking when something is really getting to me. The rest think im just a bad ass or they are intimidated by me. Im normally mellow since people have their own opinon, your allowed to think your own opinion on my page as long as it isn’t hateful. Why do you keep taking pictures and showing off your pelts? when I first started this i made sure people saw the different colorations of what varies from pelt to pelt. or different colorations of the pelt. since I dont take photos i didn't buy to post them up here i buy the pelt. and if they had pictures yes I use that. I find the pelts and fur patterns more of a art instead of just showing what kind of fox i bought this time or something. views on all taxidermy? i loves all sorts of taxidermy. plushes I'm not fond of them, i'd rather see traditional taxidermy then all else. but if the plushie is made from good materials and made lifelike then i prefer that instead of made out of cheap materials. rugs are good for wall hanging on having the head mounted up that just isnt in pelt form. shouldermounts are great to see expression of the animal in different posings they have of the neck movement. shouldermounts+legs are great to see how the neck connects to the shoulders and chest and how the legs/paws work on running, standing, walking where you could get different vantage points of the mount. full mount is great to capture the animal in its tracks and see the animals anatomy very close. like its frozen in time, i love lifesize mount best for that very reason. What bloodlines do you have in you? Cherokee Chawkta Irish Scotish Black Dutch French. ummm, know my fathers side we came on the mayflower and on my mothers side is where i get the indian from and my great grandmother was full blooded cherokee. It would be nice if you have a disagreement with me, ask me questions or atleast put it in nice words of what you might disagree with me instead of a different language, in all caps or just pure rage. That shows immaturity of not being able to discuss in a mature manner.
